Yes, you are welcome to attend any meeting. In some areas there are meetings run specifically for people on medication assisted treatment. Any medical question about the medication itself goes to the person who prescribed it.

What if a meeting is not enough?

Meetings are free, ongoing and run by members. Treatment is clinical and time limited. A treatment program has staff, a schedule and a discharge date. A group has none of those and does not stop. If someone is talking about ending their life, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is 988.

Do I have to speak at a meeting?

Listening is a complete way to attend a meeting. The chair keeps the hour moving and does not hand it to anyone who has not offered. Staying behind at the end is usually when any talking happens, and that is optional too.
