Questions about NA in Uptown
How many NA meetings are there in Uptown?
19 in total within 5 miles of Uptown. Every row above gives the time, the venue and the distance.
Are there online NA meetings near Uptown?
Online, 3 are available near Uptown.
Which meetings have wheelchair access?
5 meetings are listed as wheelchair accessible.
Do meetings run on Saturday and Sunday?
There are 6 weekend meetings on the list above.
Which meetings near Uptown can anyone attend?
Open meetings account for 9 of the 19 above.
Can I get an attendance slip signed at a meeting?
A lot of groups are used to being asked and have somebody who does it. NA itself keeps no attendance records, so a signature is a member doing you a favor rather than an official document. Attending is open to you regardless of what the group decides about the paperwork.
Can I get someone to a meeting if they have not asked for help?
No, and a group would not want to be used that way. Most people go when a particular thing happens, not when they are persuaded, so having the details ready matters more than the argument. Looking into it quietly is not the same as deciding for them, and it costs them nothing.
What are the twelve steps?
A program members follow in order, starting with admitting the problem and ending with helping others. You will hear members talk about particular steps, and listening to that is not the same as being expected to be there. If you want to read them, the literature at any meeting has them in full.
