Questions about AA in Belle Valley

What is listed near Belle Valley?

Belle Valley has 1 meeting in the list above, so it reaches out to 20 miles and picks up 18 in nearby towns.

Can I find a meeting in Belle Valley on any day?

Every day. Monday is the busiest with 4 meetings, and no day is empty.

What is the difference between an open and a closed meeting in Belle Valley?

18 of the 19 listed here are marked open, which means anyone can attend, including family. 1 is marked closed, for people who want to stop drinking.

What is the difference between a group and a meeting?

One, and everything it runs is listed above. A group is the set of people who hold a meeting, so one group can account for several entries in the week.

How do rooms treat someone who has started drinking again?

Drinking again after a period of sobriety is ordinary and the rooms treat it as such. If drinking has resumed heavily, the physical side of stopping again is a medical question and not a moral one. An open meeting is the easiest one to walk back into.

Will I be asked to say anything in front of people?

No. Plenty of people listen for months before they say a word. If the chair goes round the room you can pass, and people do that every day of the week without anyone remarking on it. You can leave at any point without explaining yourself.

Can I go to a meeting if I am still drinking?

Yes. The requirement is a desire to stop, not having managed it. If you are shaking, sweating or seeing things when you go without a drink, that is a reason to speak to a doctor before stopping, not a reason to avoid a meeting. Going once is a complete thing to do.
