Do I need money to go to a meeting?
No. Cost is the one barrier that does not exist here. The basket covers rent, literature and coffee, and nothing else. There is no salary anywhere in it. Nobody will ask what you do for a living.
How long do people keep going to meetings?
An hour is the usual length, and groups are strict about the finish. There is no course length, no end date and nothing to complete. Going to two in a week is a better test than going to one.
Do I need treatment as well as meetings?
No. One is a room full of members and the other is a clinical service. The two are not in competition and the fellowship has no view on treatment either way. Treatment is something you buy and a meeting is not, which is the whole of the difference in practical terms.
