Questions about AA in Ness City
Why is only one meeting listed for Ness City?
One listed meeting, run by Ness City Group. A single meeting is normal for a town this size, and it still counts as a week if you go every time.
What is the difference between a group and a meeting?
One group, Ness City Group, and it is linked above with everything it runs.
Do AA meetings sign court papers?
Usually, and the group gets to decide for itself either way. Groups that do sign usually do it at the end rather than the start. A larger meeting is more likely to have someone used to handling it.
Can family come to an AA meeting?
Yes. Open is the label to look for above. The person you bring will hear members talking about their own drinking, which some family find useful and some find hard. It is worth checking with the group if you are unsure which it is.
What is an AA meeting actually like?
It is a good deal more ordinary than the version in films. A newcomer is usually asked if there is anyone there for the first time, and saying nothing is a perfectly normal answer. That holds across Kansas and is not particular to Ness City.
